Why the Same Service Can

One thing that’s really important to understand about Haven for Healing Exchange Network is that the same type of service may appear in multiple credit tiers and that’s intentional. Why? Because skill levels, experience, responsibility, training, and specialization can look very different from one person to another.

For example, someone may have grown up working alongside their father in a home garage, learning how to change brakes, replace alternators, or fix basic engine problems. Over years of hands-on experience, they become very capable and knowledgeable. That person absolutely has value in the network and may offer mechanical services within an intermediate or advanced tier.

But then you may also have a fully licensed, certified mechanic with formal training, advanced diagnostics equipment, business overhead, insurance, and years of professional specialization. That mechanic may fall into a higher professional or hybrid credit tier because of the additional responsibility, education, liability, and expertise involved.

The same applies to many services.

A person who enjoys baking at home for friends and family may offer baked goods in a beginning or intermediate tier, while a professional baker or licensed caterer may be in a higher specialized tier.

Someone who naturally loves organizing closets and homes may offer organizing support in a lower or moderate tier, while a professional organizer running a business may be in a higher tier.

Even childcare can vary. A trusted teenager babysitting for a few hours may fall into one tier, while a licensed childcare provider or behavioral specialist may fall into another.

The purpose of the credit tiers is not to determine human worth but to acknowledge that every contribution matters.

The tiers simply help create fairness, transparency, structure, and realistic expectations based on the level of skill, preparation, training, responsibility, and specialization involved in the service being offered.
